Lapwing

Lapwing will live on all types of farmland but prefer mixed farming systems and extensively managed wet grasslands.

Wren

For such a small bird it has a remarkably loud voice. It is the most common UK breeding bird. Wrens can be found across the UK in a wide range of habitats.

Stonechat

As its name suggests, the birds utter a sharp loud call that sounds like two stones being tapped together, hence “stone chat”.

Barn Owl

Barn Owls keep farm pests away! They feed on rats, mice, rabbits, and other rodents. They also eat birds like Starlings & Blackbirds.

Dippers

Outside of nesting season, dippers can also be found in some lowland and open habitats, such as along watercourses, in grasslands and wetlands.

Fox

Foxes are solitary hunters who feed on rodents, rabbits, birds, and other small game—but their diet can be as flexible as their home habitat.

Otter

Otters can be found throughout the UK. They will live wherever there is clean freshwater with plenty of food and secluded areas of vegetation.

Roe Deer

Roe deer don’t live in herds. During the summer months, they are often spotted on their own or as a mother and her offspring.
